Position Description
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and machinery, including roof, water lines, gas, electricity, and heating/cooling equipment. This role involves installing, dismantling, moving, and repairing production equipment, troubleshooting during emergencies, and supporting outside contractors. Additional duties include welding, carpentry, maintaining company vehicles, and performing safety inspections. The technician must conduct routine inspections, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, implement preventive maintenance plans, and document all work performed. Collaboration with production and engineering teams, managing spare parts inventory, and training new technicians are also key responsibilities. The position requires proficiency in using Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion, as well as daily reporting to management on maintenance activities and equipment status. Responsibilities also include maintaining the exterior of the building, cleaning the maintenance yard, and performing snow removal for walkways and entrances. A high school diploma/GED or vocational/technical degree, 3+ years of maintenance experience, proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are required. Adaptability to new technologies and a commitment to safety are essential.

- Frequently handles up to 50 lbs. while standing.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work from diagrams and prints.
- Ability to learn duties of job in a short period of time.
- Ability to follow instructions, and to instruct other employees in machine operations.
- Ability to work overtime when it is deemed necessary.
