Position Description
The Procurement Head is responsible for leading the MCSI’s end‑to‑end procurement function, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and quality‑focused sourcing of materials, services, and equipment. This role develops procurement strategies, drives supplier performance, optimizes costs, and ensures full compliance with organizational, legal, and ethical standards. The position plays a key role in strengthening supply-chain resilience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals for cost optimization, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance capability, productivity, and business impact.
- Lead and manage the procurement activities of both direct and indirect
- Establish procurement policies, ensure compliance with statutory norms, and mitigate supply-chain risks through proactive planning and governance.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers; negotiate long-term agreements; ensure adherence to contractual terms; and drive strategic supplier partnerships.
- Lead commercial negotiations, implement cost-saving initiatives, and analyze market trends to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain MCSI local supply base in India and keep track of supplier performance
- Representing MCSI procurement team and participate in regional and global procurement activities
- Focus on optimizing the procurement process and bring in expertise to improve automation
- Establish and maintain communication network with global and regional procurement teams
- Work with subcontracting companies for driving the effort on Low Cost Country initiatives
- Costing Estimates for new program.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, with leadership exposure. DC cooling solutions background (Fan Wall, CRAH, CDUs and Chillers) preferred.
- Strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor‑management skills.
- Proficiency with SAP/procurement systems
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and leadership abilities.
