Position Description
We now have an opportunity for a Line Leader in our sheet metal department on the day shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of reports to meet agreed production requirements
- Recognise the ‘Voice of the Customer’ in everything we do by contributing to a proactive and preventive quality improvement culture, underpinned by the spirit of continuous improvement
- Ensure Sheet Metal Control Plan is followed by their report
- Assess and distribute work within the team
- Actively participate in the company BBS process
- Produce and maintain standard work
- Maintain ADP time and attendance records and return to work interviews
- Inform the Team Leader of any issues that may require disciplinary action
- Inform the Team Leader of any accidents or near misses
- Liaise with both the office and shop floor personnel/departments
- Hold team briefings as and when required
- Determine training requirements for the team
- Make recommendations to improve and achieve departmental targets
- To understand, promote and contribute to the company health and safety, risk assessment and environmental policies within sheet metal
- Required to support and stand in for Team Leader – when required
- To monitor individual performance against MOS/MPS matrix

Required Education & Qualifications
- Knowledge of sheet metal production areas and powder coating
- Ability to be flexible and available for overtime
- Good communication skills
- Supervisory experience would be an advantage
- Ability to maintain good working relationships within all levels of the Company
- Safety, Environmental & Quality awareness
