Position Description
2nd Shift - Schaal Press
Works from verbal or written instructions from supervisor or lead person. Set-up fin machines, testers, Schaal press, and similar equipment for operation by self and others. Install tools, dies, or fixtures to produce parts to blueprint tolerances and specifications. Uses wrenches, hoists, gauges and measuring equipment. Required to disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble dies on specified schedule and/or when machine performance dictates. Also, required to troubleshoot process when necessary and make machine adjustments accordingly. Must be sensitive to safety responsibility for setting up operations for other personnel and self. Has primary responsibility for prevention of accidents by the proper use and adjustment of safety devices. Arrange the work station for efficient production for self and personnel by locating raw material and finished part containers in proper positions.
