Position Description

The Legal Operations Manager & Paralegal Senior for CHVAC will be responsible for supporting the efficient delivery of legal services across a global business by providing advanced legal support to attorneys, managing complex legal projects, reviewing and negotiating business contracts, conducting detailed research, preparing legal documents, and managing the implementation and ongoing administration of the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system for the global CHVAC business verticals. This role serves as a key resource for the legal team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in legal operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced legal professional with strong contract management skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the judgment to work independently while partnering closely with attorneys, business leaders, and other stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and adoption of the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system for the CHVAC business verticals. 
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and other business functions to establish CLM processes, workflows, approval requirements, templates, and reporting. 
  • Manage and track CHVAC contracts throughout their lifecycle, including intake, review, negotiation, approval, execution, renewal, amendment, expiration, and termination. 
  • Review, analyze, and summarize commercial contracts and other legal documents under the direction and supervision of the supervising attorney. 
  • Identify contractual issues, risks, inconsistencies, and business considerations and escalate matters requiring attorney review or business decision judgement. 
  • Manage contract intake and ensure appropriate prioritization. 
  • Manage the administrative and operational aspects of outside counsel engagements for the CHVAC business verticals. 
  • Support the legal team in the management and resolution of contract and other business disputes. 
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft comprehensive legal memoranda.  
  • Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, and filings.  
  • Supervise and mentor junior paralegals and legal support staff.  
  • Liaise with internal teams and external parties to facilitate legal processes. 
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervising attorney. 

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Fifteen plus (15+) years of paralegal or contract management experience, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting.  
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with attorneys, business leaders, and cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.  
  • Proficient with legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management systems.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Relevant professional certifications are preferred.
