Position Description

We are seeking a strategic and driven Sales Director to lead and develop a team of Regional and Account Managers. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through a network of independent manufacturer representatives.

This position focuses on building strong channel partnerships, managing the sales organization, ensuring flawless sales execution, and expanding market share while maintaining strict alignment with our company strategy and core values. The Sales Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership to achieve long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and channel strategies to achieve revenue targets, increase market penetration, grow key accounts, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including managers and representatives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor sales performance metrics and provide actionable insights to executive leadership. Forecast sales performance, set quotas, and develop incentive programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Partnership & Execution: Partner with Regional and Account Managers and representatives on strategic customer visits, opportunity development, and closing key deals.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the development of sales processes, tools, and best practices to optimize team performance.
  • Accountability: Lead regular business reviews with representatives and internal stakeholders to track performance and drive accountability.
  • Network Expansion: Support the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of independent representative firms. Build and maintain strong relationships with representative principals and key partners to ensure engagement and long-term success.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or advanced professional certifications in sales, leadership, or business management strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to assess sales data, market trends, and team performance.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing key accounts and large client relationships.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities within complex sales operations.
  • Deep knowledge of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs.
