Position Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior ServiceNow Administrator to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be the primary owner of our ServiceNow platform, responsible for its end-to-end administration, strategic direction, and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to shape our ServiceNow instance, with a heavy focus on building out our ITSM capabilities, establishing our Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and driving an automation-first culture. You will play a critical role in defining the platform’s roadmap, ensuring it aligns with our overall company and IT goals, and delivering a world-class service experience to our employees.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, aligning it with business objectives and IT priorities.
- Serve as the primary technical owner for the ServiceNow instance, responsible for its overall health, security, and performance.
- Drive platform governance, establishing best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
ITSM & CMDB
- Lead the administration and enhancement of core ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Spearhead the creation and management of our CMDB, including defining the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), establishing discovery processes, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Design and implement workflows and processes within ServiceNow to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Automation & Integration
- Champion an automation-first mindset, identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline processes using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and other platform capabilities.
- Lead the integration of ServiceNow with other key enterprise systems, including Active Directory (AD/Entra ID) for identity management and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG) for automated employee lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs to connect ServiceNow with various third-party tools and services.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, with a deep understanding of the platform’s architecture and capabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing a CMDB, including experience with discovery, service mapping, and data modeling.
- Strong hands-on experience with core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.).
- A strong automation mindset with proven experience using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and scripting (JavaScript) to automate processes.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, including Active Directory/Entra ID and HRIS platforms, and proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience in driving the strategic direction and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required.
- Certifications such as CIS-ITSM or CIS-Discovery are highly desirable.
- College degree preferred

The salary range for this position is estimated in good faith to be $95,000-$140,000. The specific offer will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related considerations but will be within the stated range.
