Position Description
This position will ensure that all reasonable customer requirements are met with regards to specific and specialized engineering needs and commercial aspects such as pricing, order entry and customer service. Requires a high level of communication skill to present an efficient and courteous presence for the customer. Additional production and product development projects will add a level of integration into the complete sales/production process. The incumbent will gain sales and marketing knowledge along with specific heat transfer engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as contact for House accounts, providing both technical and commercial assistance
- Assist in the selection of heat transfer products specific to applications and/or materials of construction designated by the customer
- Assist in customer trainings related to heat exchanger design
- Address plant drawing, design and manufacturability issues
- Coordinate customer pricing adjustments
- Screen new customer orders and requests
- Work with Customer Service Representatives to address customer needs such as ship dates, VOC’s, and other plant-related tasks
- Coordinate Engineering Change Requests
- Coordinate Team Feasibility Commitments
- Building Relationships and maintaining direct contact with key stakeholders
- Increasing revenue and EBITDA expectations with assigned customers
- Prospecting for new growth opportunities
Required Education & Qualifications
- Eager to learn, driven, hard-working, task focused, goal oriented, and a team player
- Experience in Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Technical aptitude with great attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Computer aptitude and the ability to learn Modine SAP system
- CAD drafting and the ability to create coil drawings is a plus
- Experience in Customer Service, Manufacturing, or managing accounts is a plus
- 4 year engineering degree or equivalent job experience
- Travel up to 15% of the time
