Position Description
Remote: Up to 25% Travel
The MP&L Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting supply chain data to support decision-making across materials planning, production, inventory, and logistics. This role transforms complex data into actionable insights that improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
The MP&L Data Analyst partners with planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to develop standardized reporting, improve data accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven supply chain execution and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports related to inventory, production output, capacity, supplier performance, and logistics.
- Train team members on the dashboards and reports on how to use them more effectively.
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across the supply chain.
- Support KPI development and performance tracking for MP&L and operations teams.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across systems and reports.
Supply Chain Performance Support
- Analyze inventory health, including turns, excess and obsolete (E&O), and service-level performance.
- Support materials planning and master scheduling teams with data insights and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate supplier forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
- Assist in team problem solving initiatives
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support process reporting enhancements, upgrades, and new analytics tools as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data visibility, and reduce manual effort.
- Support ERP/MRP data integrity, including planning parameters, master data, and transactional accuracy.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain analytics and decision support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and IT teams to align data and reporting needs.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Education & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain analytics, data analysis, or a related role within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain processes.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting materials planning, production planning, or logistics functions or a desire to learn these functions.
- Knowledge of supply chain KPIs, forecasting concepts, and inventory management principles.
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, or advanced analytics tools.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience a plus.
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
