Position Description
The position serves as a strategic liaison between IT and business units, ensuring technology initiatives align with organizational goals. This dual-role leader is responsible for cultivating strong partnerships with business stakeholders, managing a portfolio of IT projects, and driving the successful delivery of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Relationship Management (BRM):
- Act as the primary IT point of contact for business units, understanding their needs, challenges, and strategic goals.
- Translate business requirements into IT initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and strategy.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure mutual understanding and collaboration.
- Identify opportunities for technology to drive business value and innovation.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize business demands for IT services and solutions.
- Ensure that IT investments deliver measurable business value and align with enterprise goals.
- Monitor and report on the performance and value of IT initiatives to business stakeholders.
Project & Portfolio Management:
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation through execution and closure.
- Develop and manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Contribute to IT strategic planning and roadmap development.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity policies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver business-focused IT solutions.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, project managers, and service delivery teams to ensure alignment and execution.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, including 5+ years in a leadership or BRM role.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects and programs.
Strong understanding of business processes and how IT enables business success. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools
- Certifications such as PMP, BRMP, ITIL, or Agile/Scrum are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
