Position Description
Modine is seeking a dynamic Corporate EHS Manager to lead our environmental and occupational health & safety strategy across multiple facilities.
In this high-impact role, you’ll be recognized as a trusted technical expert in both regulatory compliance and proactive safety culture. You’ll guide our teams through evolving OSHA and EPA standards, champion sustainable environmental practices, and drive injury and illness prevention programs that truly make a difference.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, understands the intersection of EHS and business operations, and is excited to lead EHS improvement initiatives across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and drive EHS standards and initiatives across multiple facilities.
- Analyze injury trends and develop safety improvement strategies with facilities.
- Drive strong incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.
- Provide technical assistance and mentor EHS personnel at Modine facilities.
- Conduct site EHS compliance reviews or audits. Follow up with site improvement plans.
- Participate in acquisitions and new site development including permit applications, legal document review and program implementation.
- Provide written and/or verbal comments to State or Federal EHS regulators.
- Evaluate and develop action plans for employee chemical and/or physical overexposures in the workplace.
- Develop, maintain and improve Corporate EHS documents, procedures and training materials.
- Follow the development of governmental regulations/consensus standards and implement the appropriate course of action to achieve compliance.
- Monitor, analyze and report Corporate EHS metrics, including RIR, training, Carbon, VOC’s, waste and other Sustainability/ESG initiatives.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, preferably Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in EHS.
- Demonstrate ability to implement EHS initiatives across multiple facilities.
- Monitor performance and provide tools necessary for growth and development of EHS staff.
- Possess a working knowledge of the processes involved within manufacturing operations.
- Understand the business integration of the department function into the manufacturing operation.
- Understand chemical safety and engineering practices.
- Evaluate and communicate corporate EHS risks to plant or executive management.
- Possess ability to influence, motivate and promote EHS at all levels within the organization.
