Position Description
The Payroll Coordinator will support the payroll function with daily processing as well as with audits, timekeeping support, reports and other operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the processing of payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to include coordination of data, review of new hires, terminations, leave of absences and review other change of statuses. Review hourly, non-exempt and part-time time cards; enter part-time regular hours, unpaid hours. Enter employee requested changes for taxes, banking, postage, annual special event deductions and any other optional deductions.
- Proficiently answers Kronos timekeeping system questions, assist plant payroll staff with timecard questions.
- Ongoing work with plant payroll and HR support to review current work instructions and process improvements as related to the payroll function.
- Ensure discreet handling of all business with employees and managers, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Retain support for employee bank account changes
- Support contact for internal and external audit requests
- Support salary PTO accrual reporting
- Assist and support with other payroll related tasks as needed
Required Education & Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in Payroll in a processing or support role, Benefits experience a plus.
- Experience with SAP or other payroll system, the ability to create queries, standard and ad hoc reports a plus.
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Central/Dimensions a plus.
- Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with strong customer service skills
- Excellent skills in the following: verbal and written communication, organization, multi-tasking, analytical, problem solving
- Ability to be detail oriented, precise, accurate, and prioritize duties to work on several tasks simultaneously
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
