Position Description

The HR Generalist for the Americas Data Centers region will be a key member of the HR team, providing comprehensive support to our employees and Human Resources business leaders. This role will support the Americas Data Centers region, including the HR professionals supporting our business verticals:  Air Handling Units,  Modular, Indoor Air & Liquid, Aftermarket, and Systems & Controls.  The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a broad range of HR skills, including administrative support, HRIS management, immigration and global mobility, and more. This individual will report to the VP of HR for the Americas Data Centers region and will play a crucial role in the day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives of the business.  This is an execution-oriented roles with responsibility for independently managing a variety of Human Resources projects as needed.  Preference will be given to candidates interested and willing to relocate to grow their careers in our exciting Data Centers organization!

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the VP of HR for the Data Center Americas region.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle process, including new hire check-ins and exit interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS (SuccessFactors).

 

HRIS & Reporting

  • Utilize SuccessFactors to run standard and ad-hoc reports on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and completion of compliance training, performance management and talent management processes.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to the HR leadership team.

 

Immigration & Global Mobility

  • Manage all aspects of the immigration process for employees, including visa applications, extensions, and transfers, in partnership with external legal counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with all immigration laws and regulations.
  • Partner with Corporate HR on global mobility and relocation processes.

 

Generalist Duties

  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process for various roles within the supported business verticals.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and assist with investigations as needed.
  • Participate in the performance management and compensation review processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in an HR Assistant/HR Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing, technology, or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • HRIS Skills: Proven experience with HRIS platforms is required; experience with SuccessFactors is highly preferred.
  • Immigration and or Employee Relocation Experience: Demonstrated experience managing employment-based immigration cases is preferred, as well as relocation benefit administration.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. employment and labor laws.

  • High level of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
