Position Description
The Finance Manager, Global Data Center will be responsible for managing the capital expenditure (CapEx) and working capital management processes, planning, analysis and reporting. This role ensures that all capital projects are aligned with strategic objectives, are financially viable, and are executed within budget. The manager will also oversee the working capital forecasting process to improve accuracy and drive efficiency. This hands-on position provides financial analytics and decision support to business unit leaders, plant managers, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of the annual capital expenditure budget and long-range financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic and operational goals.
- Partner with operations to oversee the end-to-end capital expenditure process ensuring visibility from project initiation to PO issuance and payment.
- Support the analysis of significant investments, including capital expenditures and new product development.
- Analyze capital spending forecasts and report on variances to plan, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to enhance the cash flow forecasting process.
- Prepare and compile standardized financial outputs, including monthly forecast reviews and quarterly business review packages related to capital projects.
- Work with the engineering and operations teams to ensure projects are forecasted properly and are meeting their stated objectives, including financial returns and operational performance.
- Manage the working capital forecasting process for the group, including accounts receivables, accounts payables, and inventory, to ensure the forecast is accurate and reliable.
- Partner with commercial, procurement, and operations teams to identify and implement strategies to reduce working capital intensity and improve cash flow.
- Analyze and report on key working capital metrics, providing insights into trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Enhance FP&A processes, tools, and systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) to improve the accuracy, efficiency and scalability of capital expenditure and working capital tracking and forecasting.
- Ensure that all capital projects are reviewed and approved by the appropriate global leaders.
Required Education & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CMA is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant time spent in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with capital spend planning, analysis, and working capital management.
