Position Description

We are seeking a Quality Training Manager responsible for the strategy, development, deployment, and governance of quality-related training across the site (or enterprise). This role ensures that employees are trained, qualified, and continuously improving in accordance with Modine’s Quality Management System (QMS), regulatory requirements, and operational excellence standards. The ideal candidate will blend strong quality systems experience with proven training leadership, driving a culture of learning, accountability, and compliance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our workforce is confident, capable, and aligned to deliver safe, reliable, and high‑quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop, deploy, and continuously improve all quality-related training programs sitewide (or enterprise-wide), ensuring alignment with QMS priorities.
  • Lead and coach the Quality Training team to deliver high performance, engagement, and effective collaboration.
  • Own the training governance framework, ensuring standardization of onboarding, role-based qualifications, and technical competency development.

Quality System Training:

  • Create, maintain, and govern training content for core Quality System processes including: CAPA, NCR, Change Management, Audits, Document Control, Risk Management, and QMS Fundamentals.
  • Design and deliver New Hire, Annual, and recurring Quality Systems training.
  • Serve as site Master Trainer and conduct train-the-trainer sessions as needed.
  • Ensure training programs meet relevant compliance expectations (ISO 9001).

Process Standardization & QMS Alignment:

  • Partner with Quality, Operations, Engineering, HR, and EHS to build and maintain role-based training plans that ensure full process competency.
  • Ensure alignment between training programs and Modine Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support audits by providing training evidence, participating as an SME, and ensuring training readiness for internal, customer, and external audits.

Metrics, Reporting & Effectiveness:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting that measure training completion, competency, and training effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine training effectiveness checks and partner with leaders to close gaps.
  • Prepare and present training performance updates to site and functional leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, HR, and other key stakeholders to ensure training supports employee capability, safety, and product quality.
  • Lead change management activities for new training initiatives, systems, or quality processes.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Training & Development, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, training, manufacturing, or a regulated environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiarity with IATF 16949 or other applicable QMS standards.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs for a manufacturing or technical audience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (CAPA, NCR, audits, controlled documents, etc.).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive, industrial HVAC, refrigeration, or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement exposure.
  • Quality or training certifications such as ASQ CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE, or ATD certification.
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM).

 

Travel:

Occasional travel for training and support of multi-site initiatives.
