Position Description
The Senior Program Manager is a strategic leader responsible for the successful execution of high-impact, complex programs that drive Modine’s business objectives. This role oversees cross-functional teams and manages multiple concurrent programs with significant revenue, volume, and capital investment. The Senior Program Manager ensures alignment with customer expectations and internal goals related to cost, timing, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-value, high-complexity programs from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Develop and present comprehensive business cases for new program opportunities, including ROI analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee program execution across all APQP phases (2–5), ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
- Direct cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Costing, and Operations, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Serve as the primary liaison with key customer stakeholders, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality, to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Monitor and manage program budgets, capital/tooling investments, and resource allocation to optimize performance and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, proactively identifying and resolving issues related to delivery, quality, design changes, supplier performance, and pricing.
- Provide executive-level reporting on program status, risks, and strategic implications.
- Mentor and guide junior program managers and project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale programs ($10M–$50M annual revenue) on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of quality systems (QS-9000, VDA, IATF 16949) and APQP methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in program management tools such as Microsoft Project, and familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
