Position Description

 

The Product Engineer II will be responsible for developing advanced heat transfer products and platforms within the Heavy Duty Equipment (HDE) business unit.  The engineer will also be responsible for sustaining activities of existing product lines.  This position reports to the Product Manager, Racine.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop HDE products and systems based on scope defined by Product Management and tied to the business unit strategies
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Designers, Sales and Manufacturing during the entire development process from concept to production
  • Create standard documentation related to Engineering, Design and Material specification
  • Provide support for existing products, including continuous improvement and value add/value engineering (VAVE) to optimize performance and cost
  • Coordinate prototype builds, create comprehensive test plans, conduct tests and analyze results to validate designs
  • Collaborate with customers on application engineering projects related to new platform launches

 

Required Education & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Product Development or Application Engineering role
  • Experience in heat transfer systems and thermodynamics preferred
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Excel and AI tools.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.
