Position Description
We are seeking a forward-thinking and globally experienced Director of Strategic Sourcing to lead our strategic procurement initiatives across all regions. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support our rapid growth and global manufacturing footprint. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global commodity management, supplier development, and cost optimization, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Leadership
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for key commodities to support manufacturing operations in the U.S., EMEA and other regions.
- Lead a team of global commodity managers focused on supplier selection, negotiation, and long-term strategic partnerships.

- Focuses on long-term cost, risk, and innovation
- Negotiates long-term agreements and ensures executive alignment
- Align sourcing strategies with business objectives, including cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
Team Management
- Directly manage global commodity managers and provide strategic guidance and mentorship.
- Provide dotted-line leadership to regional tactical teams, ensuring alignment between strategic and tactical procurement activities.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across global sourcing teams.
Supplier Development & Risk Management
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to support capacity expansion and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Drive supplier performance through regular reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with global standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, operations, and finance teams to support new product introductions and cost modeling.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with production needs and timelines.
- Serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership and regional procurement teams.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Utilize market intelligence, spend analysis, and supplier data to inform sourcing decisions.
- Implement and optimize procurement tools and systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement leadership, with a global scope.
- Proven success in managing commodity categories and leading global sourcing initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract development skills.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments, preferably in HVAC, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Travel:
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
What we offer
The contract will be at "Dirigente" level according to the Italian National Contract for Industry Directors and the total compensation package will be 90.000€ gross yearly (or higher based on experience).
