Job Summary:

The Paint Department Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the paint shop, ensuring high-quality output, efficient production, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves guiding team members, coordinating workflow, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and guide paint shop employees, ensuring consistent quality assurance across all tasks and document the results.

· Plan manpower requirements and assign personnel to meet production schedules effectively.

· Assist in setting up and optimizing production methods and processes to enhance efficiency.

· Recommend and help implement new or improved painting techniques and production methods.

· Ensure availability of necessary tools, equipment, and supplies for uninterrupted operations.

· Maintain accurate documentation of paint and cleaning product usage.

· Support staff in achieving high standards of workmanship and product quality.

· Enforce safety protocols and maintain housekeeping standards within the department.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor

· Document process through writing of SOPs.

· Implement and maintain daily process management boards.

· Implement and maintain a 5S culture.

· Report all safety concerns to EHS or Plant manager.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Familiarity with PSX700 paint products is beneficial.

· Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing or paint shop environment.

· Strong organizational and communication skills
