Position Description
Maintain and keep current material inventory information in M2M. Enter receiving and shipping transactions for materials, parts, and finished products in accordance with the production and shipping schedules set forth by the Materials and Manufacturing Support department.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete internal and sold jobs within M2M including running shorts reports on a daily basis.
- Issue material from the Pick List to jobs in M2M after making sure the inventory has been pulled for the job and moved to the proper location.
- Back up Shipping and Receiving Associates in entering receiving information in M2M for arriving shipments, and update inventory accordingly.
- Work with the Shipping and Receiving Associates as needed to ensure materials and parts are properly identified before going into inventory.
- Inform supervisor of potential inventory shortages that might hinder meeting the shipping schedule.
- Perform routine cycle counts.
- Stay informed on the status of production and shipping schedules and respond proactively in anticipating and correcting potential problems.
- Identify and report Bill of Material (BOM) errors to Engineering so they can review and correct them.
- Identify and report changes needed in safety stock levels.
- Identify and report on the disposition of obsolete inventory.
Required Education & Qualifications
Education:
- High school or equivalent.
- Courses and training in utilizing computers, ERP software, and Microsoft Office products.
Experience:
- Experienced in ERP software, especially in inventory, BOMs, shipping, and receiving functions.
- Experience doing cycle counts is desired.
