Position Description

 

Analytical mindset and meticulous Master Scheduler with experience in MRP/ERP systems, including SAP, and a proven ability to manage production planning and scheduling. Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery performance. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Production Planning: Master production scheduling (MPS), rough-cut capacity planning, and demand forecasting.
  • MRP/ERP Systems: Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), preferably with SAP.
  • Materials Control: Expertise in inventory management, purchasing, and managing non-conforming or obsolete materials.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication: Effective communication with internal teams (customer service, production, procurement) and external suppliers.
  • Process Improvement: Initiative-taking approach to identifying and executing process improvements for supply chain efficiency.
  • Managed planning for specific production cells, including reviewing new customer orders, purchasing components, and scheduling production to meet due dates.
  • Coordinated with customer service to communicate and revise delivery dates, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reviewed new customer orders and due dates, adjusting production schedules, and communicating updates to customer service for timely delivery.
  • Analyzed MRP/ERP outputs for pull-in and push-out logic, and reviewed parameters such as Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and lead times to ensure accuracy.
  • Scheduled production work cells by releasing orders after all component needs were fulfilled, considering the lead time of support functions.
  • Managed recovery plans for past-due orders, providing revised delivery dates to minimize customer impact.
  • Maintained visual management of expensed and bulk items, compiling, and communicating purchase requests to affect sourcing efficiently.
  • Facilitated the disposition of non-conforming and obsolete materials to prevent inventory discrepancies.
  • Completed Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for purchased items to manage product lifecycle changes effectively.

Required Education & Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of High School Diploma with a minimum of two (2) years Materials Control and / or Buyer experience working with MRP.
  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Prefer SAP experience.
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word experience required.
