The Maintenance Technician – Electrical/Mechanical is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems within the manufacturing facility. This dual-skilled role supports production by ensuring that equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate reliably and efficiently. The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
     
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
     
  • Install, calibrate, and adjust mechanical and electrical components as needed.
     
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to complete maintenance tasks.
     
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS.
     
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
     
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and complies with OSHA, NEC, and company policies.
     
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations.
     

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

    • 2–5 years of experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

    • Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

    • Skilled in using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and mechanical repair tools.

    • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems that integrate electrical and mechanical components.

    • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.

    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical technology, or related field preferred.
