Position Description
We are looking for a team member with a great attitude and manufacturing work experience! Pallet Builder/ Painter team members work with the team and use mechanical and electrical knowledge to assemble and paint parts and components for commercial chiller (HVAC) assembly. Operations consist of reading bill of material, pulling parts from warehouse, reading diagrams, insulating, electrical panel building, wiring, mechanical assembly, pallet building, and crating.
The work environment uses lean manufacturing principles (SS, continuous improvement, eight waste elimination, etc.). Cross training in multiple work areas is a requirement.
Forklift operation will be required. Forklift training is available.
Must be able to complete duties in a safe and timely manner in accordance with quality standards and engineering specifications. Coordinates the work of co-workers and ensures that their work meets all production standards and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow detailed assembly instructions
- Understanding of basic shop tools (nail gun/table saw/ bandsaw/etc.)
- Quality control during and after the build process.
- Read work orders to check for color to be applied in which area
- Clean and maintain spray equipment and keep in proper working order
- Clean and maintain spray booth
- Other duties as assigned
