Posted Pay Range:  $100,000 - $137,300 plus sales bonus

Position Description

 

This position is responsible for managing all sales and sales-related activities within their assigned region of the United States (and/or Canada), focusing primarily on the Airedale brand.  The Airedale brand is comprised of configurable and engineered HVAC products predominantly sold in the k12 educational and light commercial HVAC market segments. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development of existing and new business relationships with independent sales representatives, specifying engineers, architects, and mechanical contractors.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for top-line revenue growth as well as achieving goals for margin and profitability 
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring new independent sales representatives when applicable.
  • Will utilize company demo trailer with sample product for demonstration and training to customers.  
  • Increase market penetration by developing existing and new relationships with independent factory Representatives, Architects, Engineers, End Users and School Districts 
  • Prepare technical proposals and quotes through close consultation with local factory representatives.  
  • Gather and incorporate competitive intelligence into your territory to drive growth and competitor displacement  
  • Provide timely and clear feedback to Modine leadership regarding business opportunities, competitive threats and customer issues
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting to Sales, Operations and Service
  • Works cross-functionally to develop product and process improvements that drive increased customer value 
  • Ensures compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements
  • Participates in local industry and community activities, including trade shows, recruiting, community and professional organizations 
  • Understand the business environment within assigned territory including competition, purchasing and business trends
  • Partners with other Regional Sales Managers to develop and grow Key Accounts
  • Champions Modine products and provides clear, timely feedback to Sales, Operations and Engineering to drive continuous improvement in the product portfolio 
     

 

Required Education & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of HVAC / related industry sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel/Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving and strategy development
  • Experience in high growth industry/market preferred 
  • Experience with government funding programs preferred
