Position Description
As a Production Lead, under direction of the Shift Supervisor, you’ll guide daily manufacturing and assembly work, helping your team meet production priorities while following established safety standards. You’ll coordinate tasks, monitor workflow, and lead people. The Production Lead is responsible for coaching and team member engagement.
- Location: In person, 43 Douglas Way, Natural Bridge, VA 24579
- Hours: 3rd Shift: 10PM-6AM
- Pay: Starting Rate is $29.93
- Shift Differential : 3rd Shift is $1.50/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Set example for expected behavior, productivity, and priority for team.
Provide general coaching and guidance to employees, escalating to supervisors where needed after initial conversations.
Know and act within established policies, procedures.
Assist in developing s culture of safety by modeling, and enforcing all safety requirements, including PPE, addressing unsafe situations, monitoring for safety, and completing safety investigations where needed.
Review and direct work according to production schedule to meet customer demands.
Utilize 80/20 problem solving mythology to continually improve processes.
Use ERP System (SAP) to maintain accurate inventory for all materials used in the department, which can include scrap, substitutions, etc.
Ensure processed are performed to meet quality standards.
Identify workflow challenges and contribute to process improvement and lean manufacturing efforts.
Cover for Production Supervisor in their absence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous transferable leadership experience required.
- Ability to use measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools, and to interpret production documents and technical drawings required.
- Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing facility, or assembly line experience is preferred.
