Position Description

The Engineering Manager for Data Centers Colocation Group reports to the General Manager for the Data Center Colocation Subvertical. She/he works within the Data Center team to drive product development and organize the team into a focus effort completing projects with accuracy and timeliness. This position will be responsible for the development and to products that span across Climate Solution Regions (Americas, EMEA, and Asia)

Key Responsibilities

Serve as Engineering Leader and technical expert for the Colocation Group within the North American Data Center Organization.
Development of products to meet customer specific requirements.
Preparation of technical data and drawings for both customers.
Responsible for creating/monitoring KPIs and reporting systems to focus engineering efforts.
Responsible for performance management of team through development plans and target setting.
Develop and meet timelines for product designs.
Ensure products meet appropriate standards, UL, ASME, AHRI, ASHRAE
Participate in influential Data Center Industry organizations, e.g. AHRI, ASHRAE

Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science in a related engineering field with 7+ years engineering experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Strong fundamental background and/or experience in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and psychometrics.
Four years’ experience specifically with Chiller, HVAC, or unitary design is a plus.
Working knowledge of a 3D CAD System, FEA & CFD software, and Microsoft Office applications
Requires an extensive knowledge of Chiller product, technologies and industry best practices.
Technical expertise on equipment using the vapor-compression cycle.
Experience with A2L refrigerants is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
