Position Description
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator / Pipe Bender to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role working with precision CNC pipe bending machinery to produce high quality components for our customers. If you have a strong mechanical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC pipe bending machines according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, gauges, and measurement tools.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy, consistency, and output levels.
- Complete routine machine maintenance and report any issues.
- Work to production schedules and ensure targets are met.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to optimise workflows.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC bending or CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of tolerances, measurements, and quality standards.
- Competent using measurement tools (e.g., verniers, micrometers, gauges).
- Good communication skills and a reliable, teamwork focused attitude.
- Flexible and willing to support other areas of production when required
Desirable
- Experience with tube/pipe bending in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Basic programming/editing knowledge of CNC machines.
- Forklift licence, overhead crane experience, or other relevant certifications
