Position Description
The Leadhand Cleaner in a manufacturing environment is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, warehouse, and common areas while providing day‑to‑day leadership to the cleaning team. This role ensures cleaning standards support workplace safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Morning Shift: 6AM-2:30PM, Monday to Friday
Facility: DC2
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee cleaning of production floors, walkways, offices, lunch rooms, and restrooms.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain industrial flooring, including removal of debris, dust, and spills.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and lunch rooms, replenishing supplies as required.
Empty trash and recycling, including production waste and packaging materials, following disposal procedures.
Assign daily tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure cleaning schedules align with production operations.
Ensure safe handling and use of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Communicate with facility contacts regarding special requests or priorities.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
Ensure cleaning activities are performed discreetly and professionally in occupied workspaces.
Additional Requirements:
Comfortable working around production equipment, machinery, and varying noise levels.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, including PPE requirements and lockout awareness.
Strong attention to detail and customer‑service mindset.
Ability to work around office staff while minimizing disruption.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing equipment.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures.
