Position Description
Second Shift
Works from verbal or written instructions from supervisor or lead person. Set-up production equipment, such as fin machines, presses, robots, testers, brazing fixtures, assembly stations, mills, drills, lathes, and similar equipment for operation by self and others. Install tools, dies, or fixtures to produce parts to blueprint tolerances and specifications. Uses wrenches, hoists, gauges and measuring equipment.
Must be very sensitive to safety responsibility for setting up operations for other personnel and self. Has primary responsibility for prevention of accidents by the proper use and adjustment of safety devices such as Posson guards and pull backs. Arrange the work station for efficient production for self and personnel by locating raw material and finished part containers in proper positions.
Will work as a member of a team in a work cell. When set-up of equipment is not required, set-up and operate person will be required to operate equipment or material handle.
