Position Description

AbsolutAire is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering and sales. This role combines technical expertise with customer-focused selling to develop solutions that meet client needs while supporting company growth. The Sales Engineer will work closely with customers, engineering, production, and project management teams to develop accurate proposals, provide product recommendations, and ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys helping customers find innovative HVAC and air handling solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, representatives, engineers, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify project requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, schedules, and bid documents.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and technical submittals.
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales process, including product selection, design assistance, and application guidance.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Production teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and met.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product capabilities, pricing, lead times, and order status.
  • Support new business development efforts through prospecting, networking, and customer visits.
  • Assist with project handoff and provide support through project completion.
  • Track sales opportunities and maintain accurate records within CRM systems.
  • Attend customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and training opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Field, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and sales experience may be considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, industrial equipment, or technical sales preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HVAC equipment, air handling systems, or custom-engineered products.
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Experience reviewing blueprints, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quoting software.
