POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, takes pride in producing quality work, and wants to be part of a team that builds industry-leading equipment? We are seeking a motivated General Laborer to join our Fabrication team. In this role, you will support the manufacturing process by measuring, cutting, and preparing steel materials used in the production of our products.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate band saws to accurately cut tube steel, angle iron, and other raw materials to specified dimensions.
  • Operate shear cutting equipment to cut metal materials according to production requirements.
  • Read work orders, cut lists, and basic drawings to ensure accurate material preparation.
  • Use tape measures and measuring tools proficiently to ensure precise cuts and material lengths.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of cut materials before releasing them to the next operation.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine operator-level inspections.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Assist other fabrication team members as needed to support production goals.
  • Follow all company policies, work instructions, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong tape measure and measuring skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations involving fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand production documents and work instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking experience.
  • Experience operating band saws, shears, or other fabrication equipment.
  • Forklift experience or certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to safely work at heights when required.
