Position Description

Modine Manufacturing in Jefferson City, MO is hiring for first shift, full-time Shipping & Warehouse Supervisor role with responsibility in overseeing nine (9) direct reports. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the general shipping & warehouse activities. Manage and monitor incoming and outgoing items and resolve any issues with shipping orders.
• Directly manage hourly employees, including supporting with training and development. 
• Hire and train shipping & warehouse staff
• Establish a positive employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance.
• Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to do their job.
• Maintain Shipping & warehouse safety and cleanliness using 5S tools and enforcing safety regulations.
• Manage Inventory reconciliation process and have a good process in place to do cycle counting.
• Arrange all trucking needs to ship products out in a timely manner. 
• Set the shift schedule & daily assignment.
• Develop and improve warehouse processes and procedure.
• Complete packaging, receiving and shipping tasks as needed.
• Escalate issues to managers and recommend potential solutions. 
• Ensure the team follows company policies and procedures.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Understanding of logistics and factory material flow
• SAP knowledge a plus
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail; Ability to demonstrate thoroughness in completing tasks
