Position Description
The Senior Human Resources Specialist serves as a subject-matter expert for designated HR programs, providing advanced guidance and support to managers, employees, and HR leadership. This role leads complex HR processes, focusing primarily on recruiting/staffing activities, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement within assigned functional areas. The position operates with significant autonomy and plays a key role in shaping HR practices and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex HR programs and processes within assigned functional areas, ensuring consistent execution and compliance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, employment law considerations, and best practices.
- Administer and oversee advanced HR processes, ensuring accurate documentation, governance, and timely execution.
- Lead activities related to staffing and recruiting, including community outreach and engagement, candidate review, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with HR leadership to design and implement enhancements to HR programs and processes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior HR specialists or coordinators.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR partners to support workforce initiatives and organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience within HR operations.
Required Education & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting and leading specialized HR functions with demonstrated senior-level responsibility.
- Deep knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex HR programs and advise stakeholders.
- Experience leading audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory reporting activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and inform decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience driving HR process improvements or change initiatives.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced organizational environment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
