Position Description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, storage, kitting, and shipping. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate material flow to support manufacturing operations and customer shipments. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily warehouse operations to support production and shipping schedules.
- Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, material issuance, and outbound logistics.
- Ensure accurate inventory records through cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Optimize warehouse layout, organization, and processes for safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and planning teams to ensure material availability.
- Develop and maintain KPIs to measure team performance, productivity, and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff; manage performance and staffing levels.
- Implement lean practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and material handling systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience in manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Forklift certification and familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus.
