Position Description
Responsible for managing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining inventory records in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Route freight, prepare Bill of Lading (BOL), process shipping orders all in a timely manner
- Create packing slips for all items shipped domestically or internationally
- Create export manifests and supporting international documentation as required by the customer
- Maintain shipping records and shipping files per ISO requirements.
- Prepare UPS shipments
- Secure competitive load quotes and communicate with carriers regarding loads and delivery requirements
- Operate forklift as required
- Ensure all outgoing shipment paperwork is appropriately signed, dated, and filed daily
- Escalate potential delays that would impact the customer
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Education & Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- The ability to use a forklift, computer and scan gun
- Position may require staggered hours when required and any required overtime.
- Requires lifting and pushing up to 45 lbs.
