Position Description

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a large, complex manufacturing facility that supports multiple business units or product lines. This position provides strategic and operational leadership across all plant functions – including production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and safety—and leads a team of Focus Factory Managers and cross-functional support staff. The plant Manager is accountable for delivering results across safety, quality, cost, and delivery, while also driving long-term operational excellence and supporting company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations within a multi-business-unit plant or large/complex plant with multiple focus factories.
  • Lead and develop a team of Focus Factory Managers and functional leaders.
  • Drive plant-level strategy and execution to meet or exceed business performance targets.
  • Manage plant budgets, headcount planning, and capital planning.
  • Ensure plant compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement across all product lines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align plant operations and broader business strategy.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement across teams.
  • Support new product introductions, expansions, or cross-functional initiatives impacting the plant.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing with 5+ years in plant leadership roles.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-line, multi-BU manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of driving operational performance and leading high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, KPI tracking, and change management.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • ERP system proficiency and familiarity with advanced manufacturing systems.
