Position Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, and managing a team of maintenance technicians. This role focuses on scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting operational efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with production teams to minimize the downtime and improve overall equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervisor and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to maintain smooth plant operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance skills and performance. 
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in executing projects and capital improvements. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment or industrial environment. 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs. 
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
