Position Description
Coordinates plant wide activities, hour to hour, with other group leaders to insure a steady flow of product through the plant. Insures bottleneck areas are properly manned. Candidate is responsible for sequencing orders to minimize set-up time. Works with sales and drafting to insure quality levels and production schedules are maintained. Must have extensive knowledge of product design and specifications, order entry system, shop floor control, and manufacturing processes and procedures. May prepare and maintain various reports as assigned by Production Supervisor. Will act as Production Supervisor in their absence. Overtime is generally optional, however, mandatory overtime is required (i.e.> 8 hours daily and/or > 40 hour work weeks.

Required Education & Qualifications
Requires the use of judgment to determine the most appropriate methods and sequence for assigned operations and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Must be able to assist and find causes of problems relating to quality and quantity of output. Must be able to relate production problems on drawings and bill of materials to sales and drafting in order to resolve problems.
