Position Description
The Stock Clerk stores incoming materials and picks material for production requirements. Works in the SAP system, makes calculations of quantities and exercises initiative to maintain accurate records so that Data Base records and physical on-hand quantities always agree. Prepares accurate reports and analyzes requests for material to ensure proper transactions are processed.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and legible writing required along with use of simple arithmetic.
- Must be able to understand simple drawings.
- Requires ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with production departments and fellow workers.
- Requires continuous stooping, lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Requires ability to operate forklifts, electric and/or gas powered and operate crane.
- Good safety habits are a must as improper operation of forklift can cause serious injury to employee or to others in the work area.
- Employees are required to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and must use proper body techniques when performing floor, knee, and waist lifts.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Assists in personnel training as required
Required Education & Qualifications
- Must be a team player.
- Forklift experience preferred.
