Position Description
The purpose of this position is to oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. This role ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively and it is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Manufacturing Engineering Personnel, Maintenance Personnel, Tool & Die Personnel & Capital Projects
- Supervise facility while providing leadership and direction to personnel.
- Ensure that employees are adequately trained, equipped and motivated so that the program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
- Communicate regularly with employees, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning issues for all shifts.
- Assist with hiring of personnel
- Conduct employee performance reviews to determine competency, knowledge and contribution.
- Create Capital project reporting for the monthly Operations Review
- Approve and oversee the design and implementation process, as well as ensure that work is completed in the required time frame and within budget requirements
- Ensure the equipment and systems adhere to safety requirements, as well as local, state and federal industry regulations
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Six to ten years facility maintenance management experience required. Manufacturing Engineering/T&D Manager/Capital Projects Manager/Process Development experience required.
