Position Description
Responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to bend and form sheet‑metal parts accurately and safely according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print. Set-up other equipment as assigned.
- Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, bend diagrams, and tolerances
- Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print. Must be able to operate all department equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary. Assumes responsibility for inspection of parts.
- Work with engineering to produce parts to print.
- Works in a safe manner and doesn’t endanger others.
- Keeps accurate inventory of tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Preferably experience in press brake setup and operation.
- Must be able to read blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of setup.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
