Position Description
The Field Controls Technician role is an entry-level position suitable for recent high school graduates or individuals with minimal experience in technical fields. As a trainee position, Field Technician will focus on learning the basics of data center operations, safety protocols, and technical skills related to Controls work. This role is highly supervised, providing foundational knowledge and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist higher-level technicians with basic tasks related to service/controls of data center systems under direct supervision.
- Learn and adhere to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in preparing and setting up tools, equipment, and testing devices for more senior technicians.
- Document work performed and follow instructions accurately.
Required Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge or interest in tools and mechanical/electrical systems
- Willingness to learn and follow training programs
- Travel up to 75%
