Position Description

Key Responsibilities

To assist the warehouse and materials teams with the day to day operation of shipping and receiving materials and products and completion of related paperwork.  Coordinate truck traffic in and out of the facility and the related security along with loading and unloading trucks when needed.

1.         Input incoming materials into the computer system.

2.         Cycle count as required and investigate discrepancies as required

3.         Keeps shipping / receiving and the office area safe, neat, clean and orderly plus perform other duties as required.

4.         Completes all related paperwork including, but not limited to typing of Bill of Ladings, printing bar code labels and all miscellaneous documents and reports as needed.

5.         Must have an understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and be able to type in the advanced shipping notices, etc. as required from customers.

6.         Assists in preparation of shipments, receipts, and material control activities.

7.         Advises supervisor of any irregularities in the day to day operation.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Requires accuracy and the ability to use basic computer programs and be able to maneuver in the QAD / SAP or other material control system.
  • Must be qualified to use a forklift and other material handling equipment.
