Safety is a core value in this role—the Quality Inspector must consistently follow safety protocols while performing inspections and working around heavy equipment and industrial systems, ensuring a secure and respectful work environment for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report any safety concerns or hazards immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections on plumbing, electrical, and fabricated products.
  • Conduct process audits on manufacturing operations such as welding, assembly, and laser.
  • Identify and document nonconforming products, including writing nonconformance reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for production teams regarding quality-related questions.
  • Use and interpret measurement tools including tape measures, digital calipers, pressure gauges, torque gauges, and functional gauges.
  • Read and understand fractions, decimal inches, and millimeters.
  • Use basic computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP or similar systems) to complete documentation, communicate with team members, and support daily quality tasks.

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Safety-minded with a strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
  • Comfortable working in environments with heavy machinery and industrial equipment, while adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections accurately and consistently.
  • Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred experience inspecting plumbing, electrical, HVAC units, welding, brazing, and automotive components.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, trade school, or vocational certification is preferred.
  • Additional technical training or coursework in manufacturing, quality control, or engineering is a plus but not required.
