Position Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist Production and other departments within the facility, being able to:
• Supervise up to 15 team members
• Attend and participate in scheduled weekly meetings
• Work alongside production support and/or engineering teams for the required technical support including but not limited to drawings, work travelers, planning etc.
• Controlling up to $500,00 work of inventory material or parts
• Conducting periodic cycle counts
• Coordinating material requests with the purchasing department to ensure materials are readily available
• Overseeing the production inspection processes to ensure quality standards
• Partnering with the quality department to ensure quality standards are met, including raising non-compliance reports for defective/damaged parts. Participating in rectifying snags and ensuring quality alerts have been communicated to other team members
• Enhancing production efficiencies by streamlining processes and implementing best practices
• Ensuring precise measurements, cutting, bending and threading of copper or PVC pipe
• Planning and leading schedules based on the number of sub-assemblies required to produce
• Enhancing and/or developing manufacturing processing procedures or standard operating procedures
• Reading blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine layout of various plumbing systems such as water supply networks, water and drainage systems in the HVAC units
• Testing plumbing system for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Ensuring safety procedures and policies are being followed, including conducting tool box meetings and raising concerns to the safety team
• Adapting quickly to changing priorities, ensuring seamless transitions between tasks without compromising deadlines or quality standards
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful project completion, strengthening interdepartmental relationships
• Contributing to employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions
• Assisting in receiving, stocking and distribution of materials or parts, ie. copper pipe, fittings, brackets, tools, etc. Including garbage bin disposal using forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment to move materials and/or bins
• Other duties as assigned by a member of management

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be qualified to perform the duties of the occupation in accordance
with quality and quantity standards and to perform the mental,
and visual requirements of the job in a safe and efficient manner
Must have a Modine issued forklift license
Physical requirements of the job are the ability to:
Lift 50 pounds without assistance
Stand for a minimum of 2-3 hours
Reaching over shoulders/head
Bending at waist/knees
Twisting at shoulders/waist
