Position Description

The Brazer will be responsible for assembling and joining copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our cooling systems. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform brazing and soldering of copper, brass, and other metal components in the fabrication of chiller assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper assembly.

Set up, adjust, and operate brazing torches and related equipment to achieve strong, leak-proof joints.

Inspect joints for quality assurance, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.

Work closely with welders, assemblers, and quality control teams to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.

Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of torches, gases, and other hazardous materials.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Identify and report any defects, material shortages, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance team.

Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

Required Education & Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required

·         Requires the use of fairly complicated drawings, mathematics, variety of precision measuring instruments; some trade knowledge.

·         Requires the use of judgment to plan and perform diversified work where standard or recognized operation methods are available, and the making of general decisions within prescribed limitations as to quality, tolerances, operation and set up sequence.

·         Moderate physical effort, continuously working with light or frequently with average weight material. Usually short cycle work requiring continuous activity.
