Position Description
The incumbent must apply, translate, and relay basic information from engineering to production lines in a clear and concise way to ensure an efficient building process. Goal to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Incumbent will work within Data Center division.
Key Responsibilities
- The following description represents major activities of this job. Assignment of duties may vary according to need and to company discretion
- Implementation of MiniBOMs to the Data Center SAP process.
- Work with WinShuttle (or other transfer software) to automate BOM transfers from Engineering.
- Work with Manufacturing and Product Engineers to align/validate/improve part routings.
- Work with IT and Engineering to create structure and update SAP Variant configurators.
- Create Technical Documents such as Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals. Assembly Project Submittal documents.
- Processing ECRs.
- Supporting transfer/maintenance of BOM between plants.
- Enter product structure for parts and assemblies according to Engineering BOM into SAP system.
- Check assembly and part drawings per drafting packets.
- Check bills of material for newly created or revised drawings from Designer packets.
- Check assembly and parts drawings per sketches.
- Must be flexible, problem solving oriented, acceptable to change and display initiative to learn and make improvements as necessary. Coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a group environment.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience and the ability to work with drafting techniques, blue prints, and shop mathematics.
- Proficient with computers.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of SAP and its functions.
- Must be able to interpret drawings and check for accuracy.
- Manufacturing Production knowledge is a must.
- Basic CAD knowledge is a plus.
- The incumbent must be motivated, mechanically inclined and a self-starter.
