Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused DC Lifecycle Manager to lead the operational delivery of revenues of the product life and activities across a diverse portfolio of customers and contracts for the DC vertical. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional delivery, driving operational excellence, managing large teams, maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting business growth objectives. This role is to expand the Lifecycle management vertical to match the overall EMEA revenues at 10%.

This is a strategic leadership position requiring extensive experience in service operations, maintenance management, customer relationship management, financial control and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

 

  • Lead and develop the Service & Maintenance function for the DC market, ensuring safe efficient and customer-focused delivery across all contracts.
  • Develop and implement service strategies to improve performance, customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, emergency callouts, and remedial works are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and best practice implementation.
  • Manage service performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Work with the service partner network to deliver a high quality product
  • Build and extended the service partner network across EMEA to meet expansion demands
  • Hold QBR meetings with key clients to review Airedales performance 

 

Team Management

 

  • Provide leadership to the team and partners.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies to ensure adequate coverage and resource allocation.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, collaboration and customer service.

 

Customer & Stakeholder Management

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for service-related issues and customer concerns.
  • Lead client review meetings and provide operational performance updates.
  • Support contract retention, renewals and business development opportunities.

 

Compliance, Quality & Health & Safety

 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies and industry standards.
  • Lead Health & Safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Manage audit programmes and ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements.

 

Systems & Reporting

 

  • Utilise ERP and reporting systems to monitor service delivery.
  • Produce detailed operational and management reports.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support digital transformation and service innovation initiatives.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within Data Centre HVAC, Critical Cooling, Building Services, or Mission Critical environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large-scale service and maintenance operations across multiple sites or regions.
  • Strong knowledge of critical cooling infrastructure including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, DX systems, air handling units, pumps, BMS controls, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrable experience managing high-value service contracts and delivering against demanding Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, asset lifecycle management, and reliability-centred maintenance practices.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, financial performance, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
