Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication & assembly of our bespoke AHU’s, according to CAD/engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical documents: Read and CAD/engineering drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and AHU/unit layouts.
- Fabricate and assemble: Cut, shape, and assemble metal materials (such as steel, aluminium, stainless steel, etc.) using a variety of tools and machinery.
- Weld components: Join metals using various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, on different material thicknesses.
- Adhere to safety standards: Follow all company and industry safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate: Work effectively within a team, communicating clearly with department supervisor and/or project managers, as well as other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Material handling: Operate material handling equipment, if required
Required Education & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and knowledge of it’s equipment
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
- Experience with fabrication tools such as grinders, drills etc.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and a commitment to a safe work environment.
