Position Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and effective inventory management practices.
- Coordinate the timely movement of materials to support production requirements and customer deliveries.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and operational challenges.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization, material flow, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and transactions within the ERP/WMS system.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, and productivity metrics.
Required Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
- Experience using ERP and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
